Humanoid Body Markup Language


The XML-based Humanoid Body Markup Language (HBML) allows the description of a human skeleton from a full-body motion capture observer perspective. HBML is unique for two major reasons: first, it allows the processing system to be adaptable to various motion capture systems with each having its own abstract skeleton defintion and secondly, it allows for the definition of abstract skeleton definitions as interface to a physiotherapeutic or medical model. With HBML a software can combine data from various motion capture systems with multiple assessment methods such as OWAS, EAWS or REBA.
